  1. this recipe Ina Garten Beef Chili is confusing…It says serves 4 people ??? Surely it serves a lot more than that …I would like to halve it but not sure how to adjust the seasonings . I can of tomatoes and 1pound of ground meat …but do I use all the recommended spices or do I half them too ? Also I cup of peppers and 1cup of onions should be enough. I hope someone responds soon !!!

    1. Hey Margo, thanks for reaching out! You’re right, sometimes these recipes make more than we expect. If you want to make a smaller batch, just use half of everything listed in the ingredients. So, for example, instead of 2 tablespoons of olive oil, you’d use just 1 tablespoon. Instead of 2 cups of onions, you’d use 1 cup, and so on. The cooking steps will stay the same. Hope this helps, and happy cooking!
